Bogie-Hearth Stress-Relief Furnaces
Car-bottom furnaces for stress-relieving large welded fabrications and heavy components.
Overview
Bogie-hearth (car-bottom) furnaces are the standard solution for stress-relieving large welded structures, castings and machined parts. The load is craned onto a motorised car outside the furnace, and the car is then driven into the chamber — no crane handling inside the furnace.
Burner or heater arrangement, sealing systems and multi-zone control are designed to keep temperature uniform across large, heavy loads, with full documentation of every heat treatment cycle.
